The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approves Rebif® (interferon beta-1a) for the treatment of relapsing-remitting MS.

Rebif becomes the only available MS treatment proven effective on all three key measures of treatment effectiveness: MRI lesion area and activity*, relapse rates and disability progression (PRISMS study)1.
*The exact correlation between MRI findings and the current or future clinical status of patients, including disability progression, is unknown. -

MS LifeLines® launches to provide education and support services to the MS community. The goal of MS LifeLines is to connect with the MS community, listen to their needs and deliver individualized support.

Rebif's first prefilled syringe launches.

Launch of MS LifeLines Nurses Educators program. A team of nurses across the U.S. provides support, in-home training and education for people with MS who are on therapy with Rebif.

Rebiject II® Injection device launches.

Rebif becomes the first MS therapy available in a titration pack for use during the titration period.

MS LifeLines introduces its Access Made Simple program. Access Made Simple provides simplified and affordable access to therapy for people with relapsing forms of MS who are eligible. Individuals are encouraged to call MS LifeLines to determine eligibility for this program.
The MS LifeLines Access Made Simple program is subject to change and discontinuation at any time.
This program is open to any of the following U.S. residents who have a relapsing form of MS:- Newly starting Rebif
- Restarting Rebif after 90 days
- Presently taking Rebif therapy
Some limitations are required by law: Patients residing in certain states, as well as patients covered by federal and state health care programs, are not eligible for assistance.

The Peer Connection program, an MS LifeLines resource, launches to give people an opportunity to connect with an MS LifeLines Ambassador who can provide his or her perspective on what it is like living with relapsing MS or caring for someone who has relapsing MS.

C.H.A.T. programs launch to offer Rebif patients an opportunity to speak in person with an MS-certified nurse about their relapsing MS. C.H.A.T.— which stands for Connecting. Helping. Aspiring. Teaching. — is comprised of monthly meetings held in different regions across the country and facilitated by an MS LifeLines Nurse.

Talk MS, a monthly online web event series designed to help people live well with relapsing MS, goeslive, offering people living with MS a way to access valuable information and perspectives on living with the condition.
